All obstacles dissolve in time and become dust in the wind — to quote that old song by Kansas. The sun at dawn dissolves into a vast scattering of light like Dorothy's synapses caught up in the whirlwind of Oz the morning after she left that cow town and shook the dust off her ruby red slippers with their glittered unreality dazzling her dreaming eyes. That’s how I felt when the sunrise pulled me out of my warm bed like a mystical tornado and set me down beside the steelhead-flanked flow of the river to simply watch and listen. My inner cowardly lion began to roar with the dawn and I woke to the bright morning of the imagining of honeymoons in the soft wet sand and no more dust in the wind.
Now I have the Kansas song in my ears and I suspect it won't be going far away today
I love the parallels!
