Thank for sharing these gems from the past.

So fun to look at the writing of our youth. I recently flipped through a high school "thesis project" poetry collection. So much hope. So much angst.

Multiple choice, I choose chameleon and salamander love by amphibians that tell the truthful tails even though sometimes they fall off, but regrow as your pen has not run out of ink to share your regrown tales with experienced expression. Thank you for a time capsule swallow that still can fly, soar to new heights with a rewrite reward.

“Liking” these is wholly inadequate.

What a fire you had in you, well - more an inferno. Stanley says they’re gems. That is such an apt description. Because the inner light and intellect I’d say surpasses whatever age you were. I can practically hear you breathing as you write, a young poet. And envy the passion and the incredible skill.

These should be published. In all honesty I’m tagging these to print later. I hope that’s okay. Let me know if not. I’ll keep them with the book of poetry you sent when I subscribed.

Thank you so much, Patris. I feel like you and I are always on a very simpatico wavelength -- thanks to your fine-tuned powers of perception and empathy. I'm very grateful.

To walk down the path to our younger selves, and see the birth of our writing. These are outstanding!

I have saved my poetry since 1969, and still pull the old ones out occasionally.

Thank you, Sharon. Time is a two-edged blade for sure. The past is a tricky business.

Just reading some of my poems from like 3 months ago was wild. So this... must have been something! :]
