I give thanks for running water
and for my stovetop kettle.
I’m lucky for my daughters
made of sturdy mettle.
If you’d like to meet me at the sun,
we’ll stay till day is done.

That’s the same sun (edited—something’s got hold of me JP) I saw a week ago or more when the drift of wildfire smoke seemed at its worst.
Fearsome sun there - but thank the sun for sturdy daughters!
