the great black-backed gulls gathered as if for a kaddish to the sunrise glance at me from where they float and i glancing back at them raise this hymn our shared habitat is a holy house and the candle of the sun sheds its gold across our path first a solid trunk then a dancing skirt and in our spirits we dance together in the icy air warming to prepare the way for more warmth in the warm days that will surely come
The opposite of a rain dance but instead one calling for warmer weather. The birds are the performers.
Dancing away those gathered for the Kaddish. What an amazing, glowing image.
