Don’t drink muddy water
from political puddles
in the midday of this mess—
the aftermath of toxic rain—
but rather rise with the sun
and drink from your own well.

As luck would have it, our water comes from a well in our back yard--so no poison, no toxic waste, no vats of Kool-aid. Metaphorically speaking.
