I quite like imitating other poets, and then removing all traces of the influence until it's purely my own. You almost did that here, apart from the last two or three words, and the title. Nor am I particularly original in doing this.

I like that, too. We're all thieves, I guess, sometimes covering our tracks, sometimes not. The Bob Dylan album "Love and Theft" (the quote marks are part of the title) explores this in some interesting ways.

Yes. I even took something from a Beatles' lyric and turned it into a poem. I think I called it 'Act Of Homage'.

Cumulative clouds collect on horizon’’s brow. Silent shadows reach down sail’s remain tied. Storm maybe on the way. No word’s necessary.
