There's a nice feeling of calm and serenity about this poem, which is much needed after the recent presidential election in the US. Now I can see why Trump will never write poetry - well, not this poem anyway. He'll probably be busy making 'the sunrise' great again, but all on his own, because God will be fired, along with most of his new cabinet.
Thanks, Martin. I’ve thought about writing a series of terrible poems in the persona of Trump. Too sickening a thought. Something could be done with him, though. I’ve had a couple of Trump dreams and I’m sure others have as well. A compilation of those could be interesting.
