Hello my name is Stan and I’m an alcoholic. I am strangely addicted to the consumption of all forms of Potter poetry in hopes that by trying to analyze these amazing gems that I will unlock the secrets that will make me a better poet.
The Earth quakes; fission explodes . Your words are sunrises and welcome wonders . The poems should make dollars and cents, mine are free for the taking though I’m one step from the curb. The saloon door swings. What is given returns in non monetary ways. See the wolf run from your door. Given a bone, may return for more. I drink one beer and leave the sud’s for other Buds. Thank you for sharing moments that push timely buttons and make me ponder what you see.
Mwahahaha!!! I’ll drink to that! Coming from a musician who did quit his day job, this is a most generous gift, as they will not accept my EBT card at any Tavern or grocery store! Thanks Jonathan!
I have no complaints about your quality or frequency, and feel nothing but joy when I see another Potter poem! Thanks for this look into your back room!
Jonathan, I love and treasure your corner of the Substack poetry plaza. Yours are some of the ones I'm most likely to be sure to read. Usually they are short and easy to digest, yet consistently leave me feeling uplifted and/or thoughtful. Thank you for your generosity.
I love this. I share your concern on the matter of whether some might think I post too frequently, especially because I'm so unqualified to be allowed a voice in a room filled with so much talent, but then I remember that I'm here to say it and can only hope one or two of you hear it; your talent is worth the time and the money so I'm here anyway, but I appreciate your candor... And your free Poetry booze :)
Thanks, David. You've carved out a great place for yourself in this community of writers and readers, ragtag bunch of misfits that we are. You're a damn fine writer, sir. Keep it up!
& happy 4/20 to u, too!!
hahahaha!

You're welcome, Christine, and thank you!

Thank you, my free-associating bar buddy.
You had me at “lovely freeloaders” 🙏🙏❤️
Thank you, Patris. We're freeloaders, ennit, when it comes right down to it.
Every time we enjoy something i think!
Yes!
I love seeing your name in my inbox. Even when times I don't read, seeing the perseverance of a poet keeps me writing and inspired.
Thank you, Emily. Your poetry is among the best stuff I've encountered around here. The imagery is always surprising and thought-provoking.
I love drinking poetry!
Hear hear!
A big hug and thank you for ur generosity! I must cop to being a freeloader but I promise never to take your words for granted.
Hugs back, Tina! Likewise, I don't take any of this for granted. I'm part of the community of freeloaders, too, and we're a wonderful bunch, imo.
Thank you, Jonathan! Cheers!
Cheers, Monica!

That's very kind of you Jonathan, hopefully I have shown that my preferred company is the rag tag Misfit crowd of which you speak

Very generous, Jonathan. I’ll be here with my cup every day so I hope the flow is unending!
Thanks, Paul -- I'll try!
