I’ve been seeing the future
Lately. I’ve been casting my thoughts
Ahead experimentally
To prepare for difficulty 
And the daily demons due to come.
The oracle is clear.

And yet I also exist
In this beautiful present tense
And am told to use it wisely
And to count on further future
Nourishments of the body and soul
Both given and received.
