We inhabit several times at once. This is the great paradox of consciousness, because it truly exists only when there is memory and imagination. That is why who we are is a blend of past, present, and future. Consciousness is a fleeting moment when all of time stops to say hello to us
The land of both/and...both the most habitable place and sometimes the hardest to hold. I feel this, Jonathan. Been thinking of you and your upcoming return to work.
Thank you, Keith. Coincidentally, when I was writing "These Flowing Fountains," I located a poem in Sweet Spot that also mentions "both/and." The poem is "Sunrise Solo Sestina" (pp. 630-631) and the line is, "Long before either/or turned into both/and." I was pondering that when I came across your comment here.

I like your take on this, Rolando โ thank you
Whoa. Thank you for this.
Thank you and youโre welcome ๐
A calm reflection that holds the beauty of the present without ignoring whatโs anticipated. Itโs a delicate balance. <3
Thank you, Petra

Wow! Cosmic choreography strikes again. โจ
I love this:
"And yet I also exist
In this beautiful present tense"
Thank you, Margaret Ann
