You may have fought, but that’s STYLE!

Thanks, Patris — yes, my sister’s got style for sure! And the ambiguity about fighting is intentional. Sure, we fought each other a bit (mainly she waged psy-ops for fun, pushing little brother’s buttons) but we also teamed up to take on the world.

I thought dactyl was about what I call a fingerling 🌙 moon. Let me think on this tonight.

Would you consider Lewis Carrols Jabber-wockey dactylictic?

I think it's more iambic -- iambic tetrameter to be exact, four beats per line, unstressed-STRESSED x 4.

Big Apple muscle

Grip to

Hold tight

The neck

Came round foundation

Permutationistacily

Wrench pipe grip

Tightens artery.

Douse the light ,

Fall to floor— no more.

Now you need to have a go at the anapest. Rilke made extensive use of it in his Duino Elegies.

Whose visage was pallid and milky

He liked to write pomes

And break into homes

To steal things exquisite and silky

This may be the beginning of a book of modern nursery rhymes. I wanted to read it again and again, each time with a smile.

This flows so nicely, Jonathan. I read the explanation of the double dactyl, and will need to look into it more. I’d say your effort was quite successful!
