As I finished the poem "Ring the bells that still can ring" came to mind. The debate came up again yesterday, how much to read the news? Tired refrains emerged: "We shouldn't just put our head in the sand" etc... This poem calls out a middle way between ostrich head-hiding, and a full-blown deep dive into the headlines.
