I may be seeing things. There were a couple of poems labeled "After Wordsworth" who I know little about and I am not sure what you were trying to convey, but theyhad a similar length and scope and they landed well for me. Like neat scotch whisky apprehended quickly as opposed to taking time with a glass of wine.
Lovely poem! Happy Sunday, Jonathan!
Thanks Aaron — back atcha from Monday morning

That strikes me now as it has not before
Knowing what I know . . .
.
I so love the way poets like you keep seeing something so daily, so elemental, for the first time.
Thank you, Ann
You are on a roll with this theme Jonathan...
Which theme is that?

Ah! Thank you. I have so many themes rattling around my brain that I wasn't sure which one you were zeroing in on. I like the whisky figure!
Another sunrise
I see it through slatted blinds
In the torpor of a warm tub
Steaming out the lines
Of wrinkles patterns
Seen through jaded eyes
Apologies for stomping all over your comments section... It's David's doing...
David is a wild man. Nice lines though.

Each new day brings an opportunity to learn and see things differently.
I truly enjoyed this, Jonathan.
Thank you, Rod.
