Who's driving Stan? You have me blocked I can't see you posts anymore... I am not taking it personal, promise, hope all is well. I am not sure I can post a response either. :(
There's a glitch I was told. We were talking about it on SPAWN yesterday, and another member said someone was blocked. I realised I had not seen posts from Stan who is a regular and it turns out that people are blocked randomly by some issue on Substack. But I still cannot see his poems, comments etc... Patience patience. This comment of mine did not even show until you responded Jonathan..
I like the playlist and I love the stanzas, gives it more weight somehow. In the comments the presentation is not the same on the layout is it? Great poem and thank you for the shoutout! Do come back, the song title poetry challenge is on for the month. Thank you for posting about your experience and creating a new post of your own! Gratitude and kindness your way!
I’m positive they would love it, Jonathon! Snappy and attention grabbing. Just like their tunes. I had almost deafened the ear worm that is the Car’s……😉 I was already a devout DeadHead when they exploded. It ruined FM radio for me.🤷♂️🙈🤣
Hahaha! Thanks, Hudson. I never got on board the DeadHead train, but as a teen in the '80s I was deep into The Cars, Devo, The Clash, The Sex Pistols, et al, when someone gave me a Bob Dylan tape which blew my mind and forever altered my musical reality.
Oh great band, Jonathon! Absolutely nothing to apologize for. I appreciate all of those bands, now. ;)
A man from Hibbing, Minnesota ……
I was 10 when my older cousin, a traveling nurse in Alaska, came back and took me to a Dead show. 1974. I still have the ticket. 6$. I understand the “blew my mind and forever altered my reality”
If I told you I made it to around 400 more, it might explain, well something….lol
Going for a “Drive”.

Surely accidental!

Adds poignancy to your question.

I'm looking forward to more letters of the alphabet :)
I wore out both of those albums. Great poem!
Good one!
Accomplished perfectly I think.

Notice the intentional omission.
La belle fleur savage,
she lit a fire on
the night we met
way out there.
I will be back
one day--fool
for love--
the man who lives
forever.
New to me -- another musical thread to explore. Thanks, Ann!
Bravo!!!!!!
I love this, Jonathan!
Thank you, Rod!
