Something about this little poem and some others in the same sequence really appeals to me. I think it's their timelessness, and that sense of oneness with nature and the wonders of creation, despite all the distractions that can frequently lure our gaze away from them.

We used to live near a park and listen to the coyotes cries many late evenings. There is a “strange beauty” to their plaintive yipping and calls.
