Combining the sacred and mundane in that way can be very difficult, but is well worth attempting. Why? Because it is true. We are pissing, shitting vessels of the lord, made in God's image.

Cf. Yeats's 'For love has placed his mansion in The place of excrement'.

(I leave it to you to work out who has been most successful.)
