The roof beam is about to fall, the dam is about to burst, the plane is about to stall. Animals begin to call their warnings — softly at first — that the roof beam’s going to fall, that danger has begun to crawl on its way to worse from worst. And the plane’s begun to stall with the coming of the squall — its arrival unrehearsed — and the roof beam fated to fall. Calamity seems to enthrall the passengers that are cursed as the plane begins to stall. But winged beauty’s all in all as the floodgates quench our thirst as the roof refuses to fall as the pilot takes control.
Love the twist at the end. Not for the people afraid of heights and flying! Gorgeous writing!
Hope springs eternal.
