Brings back memories of victory celebrations after football ball games in WV. We have a tradition of burning couches . The practice does involve a measure of relocation .

Oddly enough, this sounds more commonplace than surreal. Almost as though it was a comforting type of dream. Nicely conveyed.

For some reason 'dreaming' by Blondie would not stop playing in my head as I read this. There's a sense of anticipation that I get from this poem, coupled with the fact this is a dream, I'm glad nothing crazy happened, made me go back and read it with a different set of eyes. There's power in simplicity.

If it took two of you to move the couch off the road, how did you place it there yourself?

I'm afraid your dream isn't really making sense, Jonathan. You may want to speak to your subconscious on the matter.
